Building a productive and disciplined generation of young people is central to our long-term development agenda and the future stability of our communities.
This afternoon, Meru Governor Hon. Rev. Isaac Mutuma M’Ethingia I held a productive engagement with the Meru Youth Service (MYS) Board Members, led by CEO Edwin Murangiri, where he received a comprehensive update on the institution’s progress.
The Board briefed him on ongoing activities, including the training of recruits and the facilitation of employment opportunities for graduates.
It is encouraging to note the positive impact of MYS recruits and graduates within our communities, particularly in supporting cleanliness and maintaining hygiene standards in our markets, thereby contributing to improved public health and community development.
Looking ahead, he welcomed the proposed plans to establish an enterprise wing, expand youth participation in agriculture, and strengthen institutional partnerships to enhance sustainability and impact.
“My administration remains committed to supporting MYS to fully deliver on its mandate and unlock more opportunities for our young people”.
