This evening, the CEC for Youth, Sports and Gender Development, Elias Julius Murega, officially welcomed the second group of recruits into the Meru Youth Service.
While addressing the recruits and members of the public, the CEC strongly cautioned against individuals soliciting bribes from youth with promises of securing them positions in the program. He warned that anyone found engaging in such fraudulent activities will face strict disciplinary and legal action.
He further emphasized that Meru Youth Service does not charge any fees, reiterating that the recruitment exercise was conducted free, fairly, and transparently across all wards in Meru County to ensure equal opportunity for all qualified youth.
Also present was the CEO of Meru Youth Service, CPA Edwin Murangiri, who shared his remarks and encouraged the newly recruited group to embrace discipline, commitment, and hard work as they begin their journey in the program.
