The County Executive Committee (CEC) Member for Youth, Sports, Gender and Social Services, Elias Julius Murega, officially launched the Meru Youth Service training program, attended by several county leaders.
The CEC said the program aims to equip young people with practical skills, discipline, and opportunities to contribute to community development. He urged the youth to take the training seriously.
CEC Member for Lands, Joy Karwitha, praised the initiative, noting that empowering youth with skills is key to sustainable development.
Meru Youth Service CEO CPA Edwin Murangiri said the training will focus on discipline, technical skills, and civic responsibility, while Board Chairperson Caroline Ntinyari encouraged participants to remain committed and make the most of the opportunity.
The launch marks a key step in strengthening youth empowerment in Meru County.
