On behalf of H.E. Hon. Rev. Mutuma M’Ethingia,  Deputy governor H.E Hon. Linda Kiome oversaw the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the County Government of Meru and the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) on the utilization of the Meru County NGAAF Gender Based Violence Rescue Centre.
‎”Our administration is committed to operationalising the centre, which has remained underutilized since its establishment. This will include setting up a health facility within the centre, complete with a clinician and counsellors to provide critical support to survivors.
‎In addition, we will host the Meru Youth Service (MYS) at the facility to offer training opportunities to our youth while ensuring the centre is used to its full potential.
Also present were the Meru County Woman Representative, Hon. Elizabeth Karambu Kailemia, and the NGAAF Chief Executive Officer, Roy Sasaka Telewa, OGW”.
